An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure
In 1736 Benjamin Franklin said "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." It was about fire awareness and prevention but we feel it perfectly summarizes our work at the Tree. We have two specific areas we have been focusing on this past year: Diabetes Care and Mental Health Support. We understand that the sooner someone can see a doctor the more likely they are to have a timely recovery. Issues that are ignored can sometimes spin out of control and become a much bigger (and more expensive!) problem. Your donation helps us continue to provide free healthcare for the hard-working people in our community. They are working good jobs but without a work sponsored healthcare plan they just can't afford benefits. With costs rising everywhere a doctor's visit, dentist visit or medication can push them over the edge of their budget. That's why we're here. To treat, prevent and support our community.
